Apache Marmotta KiWi
An RDF triple store backend for Apache Marmotta that translates SPARQL directly to SQL for execution against PostgreSQL, MySQL, or H2. Built on the Sesame/RDF4J Sail API with support for named graphs, versioning, and rule-based reasoning via sKWRL.

KiWi itself is an embeddable Sesame Sail library (no wire protocol of its own); the network-facing protocols come from the Apache Marmotta platform that hosts it as its default backend. Accepted pass_A's HTTP/REST because Marmotta's LDP module is a separate, documented, non-SPARQL HTTP API (resource CRUD via POST/GET), not just SPARQL-over-HTTP; rejected pass_B's SPARQL-only list. Both projects are retired to the Apache Attic.

Corrects current value of 2012, which reflects Apache Marmotta's Apache Incubator entry rather than the KiWi triplestore itself. KiWi 1.0, the first public open-source release including the triplestore, launched on 14 October 2010, two years before Marmotta was contributed to Apache.
